the Legislature made during the 2011 session. This change, which involved a minor revision to section 493.6203(6)(b), Florida Statutes, will affect those students taking the training for the Class “CC” Private Investigator Intern License.
Effective January 1, 2012, a person applying for the Class “CC” Private Investigator Intern License will be required to submit proof of completion of all 40 hours of the total required training at the time of submitting an application for licensure to the Division. Applicants will no longer have the option of taking only 24 hours of training and deferring the remaining 16 hours of training until after the license has been issued
NEW FLORIDA LAW ENACTED IN 2008 -
The Florida Private Investigator "Class CC" Intern , State-required Course“
Effective September 1, 2008, a person applying for the Class “CC” license must complete at least 24 hours of a 40-hour course and pass an initial examination prior to submitting the application to the Division. The applicant must submit documentation confirming that he/she has completed the course and passed the exam with the application for licensure. Proof of having completed the remaining 16 hours and of having passed a second examination must be submitted within 180 days of the application date. The content of the 40-hour course and the two examinations will consist of material related to general investigative techniques and the provisions of Chapter 493.”

Coop in effort to get the students working.
We instruct the State Required 40 hour course which is taught in two sections;
Course "A" is a 24 clock hour course and will meet the Florida Department of Agriculture's requirement for pre-licensing education.
Course "B" is a 16 clock hour course required by the State. Must be submitted with the 24 clock hour certificate with the intern application.
This course has the information that you will need to start a career as an investigator in the private sector.
You must complete each course and pass the exam for that course.
